Margot Lorayes

Margot Lorayes regularly acts for clients in residential real estate matters. She has assisted clients in a variety of corporate matters, including the purchase and sale of shares and business assets, incorporations and lease agreements. Margot drafts Last Wills, Powers of Attorneys and Representation Agreements and has experience in estate administration and committeeship applications. She has represented clients in a wide range of immigration matters, including applications for temporary resident visas (work and study permits), applications on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, applications under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program and the Canadian Experience Class, and applications for proof of Canadian citizenship under Section 3 of the Citizenship Act.  Margot also acts on behalf employers wishing to hire foreign workers. She drafts various types of agreements including co-ownership agreements and simple marriage and separation agreements.

In the community, Margot Lorayes has been on the Board of Directors of the West Coast Domestic Workers Association, a non-profit organization, for the past 4 years; has served as the Board Chair for the past 3 years.
